| Bonjour à tous,
Si vous êtes ou si vous connaissez des astronomes amateurs, si vous connaissez un club d’astronomie, ce mail est pour vous !
Je profite de la dernière découverte de Jean Baptiste pour passer un appel un peu plus explicite à la communauté des astronomes amateurs.
Dans le cadre de la mission ARIEL de l’ESA (https://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/ariel/home) un besoin d’éphémérides précises pour les transits de centaines (voir de milliers) de planètes à émergé. Cependant, il s’avère que dans beaucoup de cas, un matériel relativement simple et abordable pour un astronome amateur ou un club suffit pour permettre de raffiner ces éphémérides.
Pour ces raisons, nous avons lancé un projet de science participative, Exoclocks (https://www.exoclock.space/ voir aussi : https://www.exoworldsspies.com/en/observers/ ), qui propose à ceux qui sont intéressés de nous aider à tracker ces planètes.
Notre but est que tout observateur ayant contribué au projet se verra associé à la publication scientifique utilisant ses données.
Donc si vous connaissez des astronomes amateurs ou des clubs d’astronomie, n’hésitez pas à leurs faire passer.

Dear ExoClock participants,
I would like to draw your attention regarding an upcoming event during this year's EPSC. The event is a splinter meeting dedicated to Ariel and ExoClock and attendees will have the chance to also ask questions.
It is a great opportunity to share Ariel and ExoClock and motivate further participation from other communities. Please share the meeting to your local communities, including professionals, amateurs, schools or anyone else that might be interested.
The meeting will take place on this coming Monday, the 28th of September at 18:00-20:00 CEST time.
Note that the meeting is open to everyone and does not require registration to the conference.
